More Residents Call Kakaako Home

screen-shot-2016-11-28-at-11-59-52-amA couple of weeks ago The Collection Honolulu and Waiea in Ward Village welcomed it’s first residents into it’s building. The Collection Honolulu located within “Our Kakaako” on the Ewa side of Kakaako, started sales over two years ago selling it’s tower out shortly after the start of sales. To date only The Townhouses are available.

Waiea, Howard Hughscreen-shot-2016-11-28-at-12-00-42-pmes’ first residential tower in Ward Village, welcomes the first residents to the masterplanned neighborhood. The building is roughly 90% sold with various units in the building still available. Waiea will set a new standard of luxury in Kakaako previously held by Hokua at 1288 Ala Moana blvd. Anaha located cookie corner to Waiea is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2017.

The Collection Honolulu will bring life to “Our Kakaako” and the businesses within SALT, located across the street from the new tower, will surely benefit. The Collection get it’s name from the various styles of living that it offers. You have the main tower where a majority of the units and residents reside. There are 14 Townhouses that bring a new type of urban living to the neighborhood with entrances right at street level and then there are low-rise loft studios that don’t have access to all of the amenities of the tower, but share a smaller amenity package.

Slowly but surely Kakaako is shaping into the neighborhood we will all come to love. If you’re interested in learning more about how you can call Kakaako home, please feel free to reach out to me directly at Thank you!

Ae’o at 1001 Queen Street

Sales at Ae’o are moving along swiftly with the new residential tower nearing the 60% sold mark.  Ae’o will be the heart of Ward Village with a flagship Whole Foods Market going in on the ground floor. Howard Hughes’ newest residential tower represents affordability, relative to the Texas based developer’s previous three luxury towers.  Ae’o features Studio-, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, with something for every buyer out there.

More then just great location, sitting just behind the Ward Entertainment Center, Ae’o offers some of the lowest maintenance fees in Ward Village. Pacifica Honolulu: Video Tour

Pacifica Honolulu has got to be one of my favorites of the existing Kakaako projects. Built in 2009, Pacifica is six years young, and is known for the amazing sushi restaurant Doraku located on the bottom floor. A great offering of amenities is also why buyers fall in love with Pacifica featuring two movie theaters, a pool, jacuzzi, private saunas for men and women, a great exercise room, and some of the best bbq/entertainment areas in all of Kakaako. But what I feel really separates Pacifica from the rest is that the amenity deck is meticulously landscaped, covered with an array of green foliage, making it seem like you’re in someones backyard rather than steps away from Kapiolani boulevard. For me the amenity deck provides a momentary escape from the hustle and bustle of urban living.

Pacifica Honolulu Amenity Deck

Pacifica offers 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units with many different floor plans to choose from. Ocean views are on offer from the makai side of the building, but I personally prefer the mountain or mauka side of the building. It’s much cooler in the afternoons and the city/mountain views are much more interesting to me. You’ll also save on your electricity bill because the afternoon sun can warm your unit a few degrees in the afternoons.

Pacifica Honolulu Pool

Chef Chai’s is another great restaurant located on the bottom floor of the building along with a great coffee/juice bar that I personally frequent, Bluetree. Pacifica offers close proximity to Ala Moana Center, a short walk to Ala Moana Beach Park, and quick access to Kakaako’s future Whole Foods Market

Here is a video that was produced for the real estate team. It features unit #4006 which is an ocean facing unit on the 40th floor. It’s a one-bedroom one-bath unit with 661 square feet of living. Let me know what you think in the comment section at the bottom of the page after you watch. If you would like to setup a showing for this unit or would like more information please email me at

Neighboring News: Park Lane at Ala Moana

If luxury and location are paramount for you and price is but a number, look no further than Park Lane at Ala Moana. Where else can you find expansive oceans views from the comfort of your living room while being just steps away from the world-class Ala Moana Center? Park Lane truly offers the best of both worlds.

Park Lane 1

The project features seven unique eight-story buildings all with 10-story ceilings and expansive outdoor lanais for true island living.  The amenities were conceived with the idea of never having to leave home, or at least that’s what I was thinking when I first took the tour. Men’s and women’s spa areas featuring saunas, steam rooms, and private lockers, outdoor whirlpool and spa, 25′ x 75′ lap pool, three private suites, and private massage and treatments rooms are just a few of the amenities on the list.

Each residence, inspired by the single-family home design, includes custom wide-plank engineered hardwood floors, architectural lighting designs, Sub-Zero refrigerator, freezer and wine storage, Wolf oven, cooktop, hood and microwave, and the list goes on and on. Email me for a full list of features and amenities.

The open-air lanais average 300 square-feet featuring natural stone flooring, a seamless transition from indoor wood flooring to outside stone floor, and my favorite feature of all, the built-in and mechanically vented gas barbeque by Wolf. This is a feature unique to Park Lane, as no other condo in the Ala Moana/Kakaako area features gas grills on the lanais of their residences.

On the back of the project is something very unique to the project called The Park Lane. The Park Lane is a private walkway that connects all seven buildings through an elevated walkway away from the hustle and bustle of Ala Moana Center. It will feature palm trees, sculptures, lotus ponds, decorative stone paving, and so much more. Think of it as an outdoor escape footsteps from your front door.

If this project is of interest to you I encourage you to contact me as soon as possible. The last time I was there they were already 65 percent sold. There are many other projects in the Kakaako area to consider as well and I would be happy to give you all the details on  the ever-changing Kakaako and Ala Moana real estate landscape. Contact me for more information on Park Lane or if you haven’t made up your mind on which project is best for you — I would be happy to set up an appointment to give you the full overview of everything available. Moana Pacific – 1 bed / 1 bath $520,000

Moana Pacific has been gracing the skyline of Kakaako since 2007 when construction was completed. Just recently listed was a one bedroom one bath unit on the 10th floor. With over 700 square feet of living area, it represents one of the larger one bedroom floor plans available in the Kakaako neighborhood.  The unit features a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, granite counter tops and custom cabinetry.  The unit was also recently repainted and has brand new carpet.bed

One of the greatest features of Moana Pacific living is its wide range of amenities which include a movie theatre, tennis courts, pool, spa, putting greens and so much more.

If cooking isn’t your strong suit and don’t like to venture too far for a meal, you can walk downstairs to Stage Restaurant or Café for contemporary Asian-American cuisine. AMUSE wine bar is also an option and is always a great place to meet up with friends.

Listed at $520,000 it is one of the lowest priced listings in the entire Kakaako neighborhood and a good deal in my book.

Thinking about purchasing in Kakaako but don’t know where to start? Give me a call or email me and I would be happy to walk you through the Kakaako real estate landscape, highlighting all the different buildings and their amenities. If you would like to set up a private showing for this unit or any other listing in the Kakaako neighborhood contact me and I would be happy to arrange that for you.

Thank you!
