Last Friday, The Howard Hughes Corp. unveiled its newly renovated IBM Building and sales gallery for its Ward Village master plan in Kakaako. I had the opportunity to tour the property at an exclusive brokers open. As I first entered the sales center doors, I knew I was in for something special. With modern high-grade wood floors, ten-foot ceilings, and finishes I’ve only seen in magazines, it’s safe to say that Howard Hughes has raised the bar for Kakaako condo development and Honolulu alike.

With that said, future Waiea condo owners should expect extraordinary finishes given the extraordinary prices they’ll pay to live there. Nonetheless, the model units blew me away.

The built-out model units are only some of what the sales center has to offer – three-dimensional models of both Waiea, at 1118 Ala Moana Boulevard, and Anaha, at 1108 Auahi Street, are also on display as well as an intricate model of Urban Honolulu.

And for those of you who really have your heart set on living in Kakaako, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of Howard Hughes’ vision for Ward Village in a futuristic three-dimensional model depicting the 22 high rises to come over the next decade and beyond.

Don’t just take my word for it, the $24 million redevelopment of the iconic IBM building and brand new sales center are a must-see if you’re in the market.

The sales center will open its doors to the public this Friday, Jan. 31. If you’re interested in a unit, please let me know and I’d be happy to advise you on comparable buildings in the area as well as other new development opportunities and whether Waiea or Anaha is right for you.
