Ae’o Condo at Ward Village
Located directly above Ward Village's flagship Whole Foods Market, Ae'o has arguably the best location in Ward Village. The project is a perfect balance of affordability, location, amenities, and luxury. Ae'o is Howard Hughes' 3rd tower in Ward Village.

Ae'o is one of my favorite condos in Ward Village, and it is the first condo that was priced in a relatively affordable price point in the neighborhood. You can find studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units at Ae'o with the studio and one-bedrooms starting at under $700,000 and $900,000. The project is situated in the second row within Ward Village, offering great ocean views for the Diamond-Head-facing units in the building. The west-facing units have some ocean views, but the downside of the west side of the building is that 'A'ali'i will be built adjacent to Ae'o, thus blocking most views.
Many of the units were built with this wing design so that you can see directly toward the ocean, but standing within your building (let's say in the kitchen), your view will be primarily of 'A'ali'i.
The amenities at Ae'o are nothing short of amazing. You can expect 2 pools (one adult only pool and one for families with kids), covered outdoor dining pavilions and cabanas (bbq areas), a climate controlled gym with outdoor workout spaces, three guest suites, steam and sauna rooms, a movie theater, a karaoke room, a private dining room with a catering kitchen, surfboard and bike storage, and dog-run area. Not to mention, there are all of the amenities that come with living in Ward Village such as the minutes-long walk to Ala Moana Beach Park, the Ala Moana Shopping Center, as well as great shopping and restaurants right downstairs.
Ward Village is Honolulu's most walkable and bike friendly neighborhood. It's also the only LEED-ND Platinum neighborhood in Hawaii. What's is LEED Platinum? It's the most popular green building certification program used worldwide, and the platinum designation means that Ward Village demonstrated the highest designation in terms of efficient design and low impact on the environment (among other things).
Amazing restaurants are also located within walking distance from this location, plus Ala Moana Beach Park, the largest Whole Foods Market in the state, and a brand new 3-acre park are all within a couple-of-minutes-long walk from your front door. What more could you ask for?
Howard Hughes took a unique approach with the interiors options at Ae'o, allowing buyers to choose from 7 different color schemes. Some of the color schemes were a bit eccentric and probably wouldn't have been great choices for resale down the road. The units that weren't sold by the time the developer had to order all the materials got outfitted with 2 of the most popular options, basically a light and a dark finish (pictured below).
In every unit you'll find rich hardwood floors, floor to ceiling windows with Bosch appliances.
Below you'll find a link to our Ae'o Condo Market Report. You will find a list of all active, in-escrow, and sold properties in Ae'o in the last six months. If you're looking to buy or sell in the building, it's the perfect tool to determine what others are paying in the building.
